Let’s Celebrate Community this Holiday Season on Isle of Palms

Now that the election season is over and the holidays are here, let’s celebrate community on Isle of Palms. This was a particularly contentious election and it is time to put that behind us and focus on healing and togetherness.

What makes Isle of Palms such a wonderful place to live, besides the weather, beach, ocean, marsh, wildlife, restaurants, and nightlife, is the people! Tourism might drive our economy, but IOP residents provide the structure and stability that make this community great.

The IOP Chamber of Commerce is proud to represent our many member businesses that serve residents and tourists alike here on the island. Please consider patronizing them this giving season!

The Holiday Season on Isle of Palms

Does Santa surf? Of course he does! We also know he participates in the Polar Plunge on New Year’s Day.

The holidays on Isle of Palms are filled with laidback festivals, events and get-to-gethers that will remind us what community means. Tourism is light during the holiday season and IOP is mostly left to the 4,400 permanent residents who can enjoy the chilly sand and even colder waves. Although the days are short, Isle of Palms is the perfect place to walk in the limited sunshine and sometimes 60-degree weather, even on Christmas Day.

Here are some of the holiday events happening in and around Isle of Palms this season:
